Welcome to Community Food SA Inc.

The underlying principle on which Community Food SA is founded is the Christian aim of sharing the love of Christ with others. Community Food SA Inc is a not-for-profit community organisation and low cost grocery store accessed by over 600 families each week.

The organisation operates from 30 Cromwell Road, Kilburn and was established 20 years ago in response to a high incidence of poverty in the northern metropolitan region of Adelaide.

Those who benefit are:

• Welfare organisations that provide emergency relief and food vouchers to people in desperate financial situations.
• South Australian families and individuals who have low incomes. They are able to help themselves by purchasing low cost groceries from over 1,500 lines of groceries including:
  • Fresh fruit and vegetables
  • Dairy products
  • Smallgoods
  • Bread
  • Meat, Fish and Poultry
  • Kitchen, bathroom and laundry products
  • General grocery lines
